Bending Active Tensile Structure - A Bridge Canopy Design

This project is designed after investigating material behaviours in bending-active tensile systems. By studying the material behaviour of fabric and carbon fibre rods, an equilibrium force system is created with the combination of both. This bending-active tensile design can be used as a showpiece element that stands out against both traditional and modern buildings, urban focal points and local icons.
